In Case of an Emergency was a project funded by Pro Helvetia, Basel, Switzerland, in 2017. In this work, I used a fire exit within a building as a metaphor to explore the perilous journeys of global migrations, often driven by conflict or the escalating effects of climate change. This film has emerged out of need to represent the anxiety that surrounds the lives of those compelled to embark on these uncertain and dangerous passages.
